Orthopedic Massage is a type of massage therapy which is focused on treating painful conditions which affect the soft tissues of the body. The massage therapist may integrate a range of techniques to treat these conditions, ideally adapting their style for each client, as every person’s body is slightly different. The therapist may release tight muscles, help to stretch shortened muscles and tendons, and decompress joints. The goal is to normalize the soft tissues of the body, both to treat specific conditions and to keep clients generally healthy and fit. Because this type of massage is designed to treat medical conditions, it requires extensive training.
Sports Massage is a treatment given with the understanding of how your sport applies a specific pattern of tension to your anatomy and physiology. The therapist uses a variety of techniques to help address this tension pattern with the intention of helping you gain a greater level of efficiency with the movement patterns utilized during your given sport. This greater efficiency can help prevent forced breaks from your training regimen.

CUSTOM MOBILITY PROGRAMMING
Understanding how and why your body moves the way it does is one of the most vital aspects of being a healthy athlete. We place a high value on the quality of your movement pattern. This pattern of movement is going to determine how your body absorbs the stressors of your sport.
During the assessment we are going to check the range of motion in each of your major joints , your Beighton Scale Score (which determines your genetic predisposition to joint hyper-mobility) and your general movement patterns and what your overall goals are with the program. All of the information gathered during the assessment will help us design an easy to follow self care program that will help you address the tension limiting your movement.
90-min Full Assessment: $135
During each Mobility Lesson you will learn how to apply highly specialized techniques to each indicated area of your body. For example, If during your assessment we find your hamstrings are overly taught because of an under utilized Gluteus Maximus muscle. You will learn how improper core stability can lead to tension in your hip flexors, inhibiting your Gluteus Max. Lessons can include self-myofascial release techniques, dynamic and static stretching, proper breathing patterns, recovery techniques/approaches and ways of becoming more aware of your everyday movement patterns.
Single Mobility Lesson: 1 hr-$85
Lessons can only be scheduled once a Full Mobility Assessment has been completed.
Full Mobility Package
This fully customized mobility program provides you with (5) sessions: The Full Assessment and (4) 1-hr mobility lessons. Once the Full Assessment is completed, we will spend (3) 1-hr mobility lessons covering techniques that you will apply to address your tension pattern. This approach of addressing your tension pattern proactively will help to create a more efficient movement pattern. The final 1-hr lesson we will cover a warm up routine that is specific to your needs for your sport.

We perform a simple set of tests and measures to assess functional movements and sport specific tasks to identify factors that may predispose an athlete to injury.
